- Take control of power consumption
- Eliminate expensive energy thieves
- Reduce the electricity bill for the building
The Max Guard smart feature helps reduce electricity bills in commercial buildings.
Max Guard reduces the maximum demand (average consumption in an hour), i.e. periods when total power usage is high. This is done by reducing or moving consumption when “energy thieves” (loads) in the building are consuming power and distributing it over time. The incentive behind the smart feature is the “demand rate” from the grid company, which entails additional costs for the highest peak each month.
Max Guard helps you manage your power consumption
Identifies energy thieves
Total consumption is reduced in periods when Max Guard is active, typically by turning off slow loads or reducing dynamic loads. Consumption is then moved to times when electricity costs are lower.
Tailored to the customer’s needs
Max Guard runs as software in Envo Edge Gateway, which is often also integrated with all systems and meters in the building. The smart feature can therefore take into account times when more affordable energy sources should be used, such as electricity from solar cells, and move consumption to become as energy-efficient as possible.
The Max Guard smart feature can be tailored for each building to guarantee the best possible effect in each case.
